The Youth Development Division of the Governor's Office for Children and Families (GOCF) sponsors several trainings and events throughout the year that may be beneficial for youth, grantees,and other service providers. See below for information and registration for these trainings.

Youth Empowerment Strategies -Athens, GA

Join the Governor's Office for Children and Families in an event that will help you become a better supporter and advisor to the youth with whom you work! This training will teach participants how to form and sustain strong youth-adult partnerships for a more effective program. Participants will examine best practices, tools and case studies to gain a better understanding of how to build and sustain meaningful youth-adult partnerships.

CSEC Mental Health Trainings - Statewide
Provided on Multiple Dates

The Governor's Office for Children and Families is pleased to announce training for mental health providers on the commercial sexual exploitation of children (CSEC).

This session dispels some of the stereotypes about CSEC victims and covers who is vulnerable to recruitment, pathways to entry, risk factors, and engaging survivors therapeutically. All training dates offer 6 hours of CEUs approved by NASW-GA LPCAGA and are provided free of charge to participants.
