ATLANTA - Today, Governor's Office for Children and Families (GOCF) announced $2,946,755 in grants awarded to multiple Georgia communities. It is expected that more than 4,170 children, youth and families in 10 Georgia counties and cities and one state-wide program will be served. The grants will fund recommended activities during the next year that use a system of care approach. GOCF has funded such programs for two consecutive years and has doubled the number of awards since September 2008. Aligned with GOCF's mission, a variety of prevention and intervention services will be provided in these counties and regions.
